Some ways to cook Ile de France Camembert
Camembert is one of the most interesting cheese to use as an ingredient. This cheese has a strong character: its flavor is too intense to go with every dish, but it will spice up your pastas and salads. What might seem a downside is the greatest strength of Camembert as an ingredient, as this cheese can add star appeal to your dishes. Two popular ways to incorporate Camembert in cooking are barbecuing and roasting.
“Camembert au barbecue” is a popular dish in France: place it on an aluminum sheet, so it won’t run into the embers, season with herbs to your liking, and let it cook for about 15 minutes. To be enjoyed with bread and a drink of your choice.
You can also roast your Camembert in the oven. Served with bread, delicatessen and potatoes, it makes for a delightful dipping experience.

By far, hands down, the *BEST* Camembert cheese I've ever had. The rind is stinky, yes, but not the cheese itself. If the rind to a cheese stinks, that's actually (almost always) a good thing as it means there's a good growth of bacteria on the rind, which helps with the taste (most of the time, the pungent scent comes from bacteria-producing sulphur compounds during growth). In other words, it's 100% normal! In fact, I'd be worried if it didn't stink because that would mean that you've either been given a knock-off, wrongly-prepared cheese that isn't as good or else you're not eating real Camembert.
But the creamy cheese inside the rind is absolutely heavenly! The trick with this cheese is that you want to let it breath and get just short of room temperature. In my opinion, it pairs best with wines or sweet sodas. My mouth waters just thinking about it and now that I know where to order some online, I can't wait for payday!
This cheese can't be beat. Order some: you won't regret it.
