Brie, the queen of cheeses
While traditional Brie is a soft-ripened cheese that comes in a large, sometimes unpractical diameter, Brie follows the same recipe in a format that, if the taste is just as good, why call it Baby Brie, and not just “Brie”? Because of regulations and an interesting piece of history about Brie.
Historically, Brie used to come in varying sizes, depending on the quantity of milk available in the farm that produced it. The bigger the Brie, the grander the cheesemaker, which is why the regulation diameter for Brie is 8.6 inches and above. Smaller Bries are therefore called “Baby Bries”, or “Petit Bries”.

Loving this brie! This is what I would call a classic brie! When you picture brie, this is it! This package is the large format perfect for sharing or a large party. Extra creamy, smooth and gooey - everything a brie should be.
