Saint Agur are renowned to their blue cheese wedge. They were nominated favorite blue cheese brand in the UK in 2018 by the Nielsen news audience.
In 2019, Saint Agur received a Gold Medal at the 2019 World Cheese Awards, held in Bergamo, IT – in the Blue Vein cheese with natural rind category.
Saint Agur’s cheesemaking
Saint Agur is a unique blue cheese with fruity and nutty aromas, an extra-creamy texture, and of course, delicious spicy blue flavors. Each cheese is hand-salted, following the traditional recipe, and penicillium roqueforti is added to create the blue bloom. To perfect the cheese’s maturation, Saint Agur is pierced with needles to allow the air to flow inside the cheese so that the blue develops evenly throughout the whole cheese.
A creamy delicacy, and a milder blue cheese
Saint Agur stands apart from other blue cheeses by its lush creaminess and refined taste. While some cheese lovers find many blue cheeses too strong, Saint Agur brings you the delicious taste of blue penicillium roqueforti in a friendly format that melts smoothly on your tongue.
It’s the perfect cheese for you, whether you’re a blue cheese enthusiast, or if you find other blue cheeses a bit too strong for your taste.
